NATIONAL TAIWAN MUSEUM OF ART

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The New Taipei Museum of Art (NTMOA) seeks to become an icon dedicated to social well-being and progress through technology, innovation, culture, and the arts. The focal point of the project is a 260-foot tower, featuring several galleries, exhibition halls, a restaurant on the top floor, and a facade clad in recycled ceramic tile. The tower is surrounded by an Arts Village, including a children's museum, a performance theater and an outdoor amphitheater. DE+ teamed with J&R Architects and Aaron Betsky for the design competition and received an honorable mention.
