The program includes administrative and executive offices, reception/lobby, conferencing, break areas and support space, plus surface parking and outdoor sitting areas. The new home for CTA was designed on an L-shaped site plan, presenting a clean simple facade to the street, and frames a new landscaped rear yard. This private area is separated from surrounding parking areas through a defined grade change. The overall design of the new facility seeks to establish a new architectural spirit for CTA, where openness and connectivity are the rule. The interior of the building is integrated with the private outdoors through the central building courtyard, which allows the geographic center of the building a view of the new gardens and creates a sense of continuity between inside and outside.
